Jeep announced that it has achieved a new sales record in 2013. Specifically in 2013, devoted to the global market 731,565 cars. It is the second consecutive year that has shown an upward trend in sales volume. In 2012 it had sold 701,626 units. The Jeep automaker is increasing its sales not only in the U.S. market but also globally over the last four years, according to Mike Manley, President and CEO of Jeep, Chrysler Group LLC.
They are extremely pleased with the sales of the new Jeep Cherokee which sold more than 25,000 units in just two months. The sales of the Jeep models have been increased by 4% worldwide in 2013 compared with 2012 and by 3% in the U.S. In addition, sales growth in Asia reached 26% while in China, the world’s largest car market, there was an increase of around 29% in 2013.
Leader in sales of Jeep is the Grand Cherokee, which have sold 255.005 units worldwide and 174,275 units in the U.S., followed by the Wrangler, with 210.715 units worldwide and 155,502 units in the U.S. Finally, it was announced that total sales for 2013 models Jeep Compass, Patriot and Wrangler are the highest in the history of the brand.
