Now Germany is the so called Google Lex. The idea is to protect the copyright in opposition to the news aggregators. Google News in the first place. From now on the search engines and online news aggregators will have to pay a license fee to publish editorial content produced by others.
This is supposed to assist and protect the copyright of the publishers. The proposal has garnered opposition. Search engines, as well as news aggregators portals can restore individual sentences or so. In this way, according to them it would be no problems to circumvent the law.
The idea of the defense does not seem bad but we need to wait and see how this ends up being translated into practice.
