The service tax collection in Italy today has access to 40 million bank accounts of Italian citizens into a more intensive effort to combat tax evasion. Originally the date was set for the implementation of the measure free access to banking data of Italian taxpayers was 28 October 2013. But due to a series of technical problems at the last minute decided to postpone the measure until recently.
The promoters of the Italian service of tax collection can control transfers, credit card payments, automatic withdrawals and loans. The officers who have free access into the bank accounts of the Italian are just fifteen. The very limited number is due to the need to respect specific rules protecting the privacy of citizens. Moreover, the Italian finance minister Fabrizio Sakomani said that it is likely that the final cooperation agreement between Italy and Switzerland for tax issues to be signed within the next May.
This agreement will allow the taxation of capital of Italian citizens moved in secret and illegal funds in Switzerland, but also issues such as the avoidance of double taxation and the tax situation of Italian citizens working in Switzerland and living in Italy. The fraudsters need to know that very soon they will find, said the Italian Treasury.
